The Alpine iLX-W650E is a 7” touchscreen display featuring Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, the latest in-car technology designed to be user friendly and can be easily installed in a range of vehicles.  

Apple Carplay and Android Auto enables you to use apps from your phone such as Apple Maps, Google Maps, Waze and Spotify on the touch screen of the unit by either a voice command or the easy to use touch screen interface. Apple CarPlay has the ability to bring apps to life through the digital display and the convenience of Android Auto offers an extensive number of apps in the dash of your vehicle. 

Added features include new wired USB mirroring, upgraded composite input for HD parking cameras and DAB+ radio. 

Apple CarPlay and Android Auto also allows drivers to effortlessly navigate directions through the voice command, promoting driver safety while getting you from A to B with an accurate arrival time and turn by turn instructions. And you can plan ahead using the call location function. 

The notification features gives users access to iPhone Calendar scheduling on your dashboard so you can stay up to date with all important and future events. If you have an event in your calendar with a location you can simply select the event and Apple CarPlay with launch maps and provide directions. 

Android Auto has a convenient tab to display notifications for text messages and phone calls. Text messages are automatically shown on the display for you to browse through your message history. You then have the option to preview the text or have it played via text-to-speech. 

The WAZE app offers a unique driving experience with alternate route options available to save time, including real time updates reported by other WAZE users for anticipated traffic, camera alerts, road hazards and police stops.  

The iLX-W650E features a user-friendly design with a two-finger swipe motion that can be used up and down or side to side to control volume and track skip. Alternatively exiting out of the interface is done simply by tapping anywhere on the screen to go back to normal function. The smart safety feature allows you to keep concentration on the road at all times. 

This unit has an option for additional dual camera input for rear camera, side or front camera displays (sold separately) allowing connection to a rear camera and add-on side of front cameras for ease of parking and driving safety. 

An ultra shallow chassis design spanning a short depth of 6.1cm offers the ideal solution for vehicles with restricted areas behind its dashboard. In addition, this stacks perfectly with the KTA-450 Power Pack Amplifier (at an additional cost) and the space saving design offers users incredible power and sound. The combined length of the PowerStack duo is less than the depth of the standard 2-DIN chassis making it a great solution for vehicles with space restrictions.
